Is it possible to import data into Service Box?

Yes, it is indeed possible. We offer the capability to import client data into Service Box using Excel or CSV files. We assist in importing the following datasets:

  • Customer Data
  • Jobsites linked to customers
  • Historical Workorders
  • Inventory Items
  • Non-Inventory Items
  • Unit Import

Can data be imported from Jobbers into Service Box for clients?

Absolutely. We facilitate the import of client data from Jobber into Service Box. We can assist in importing the following datasets:

  • Customer Data
  • Jobsites linked to customers
  • Historical Workorders

What is required from the client to proceed with the data import process?

Yes, we would need our clients to download specific files from Jobber for us to analyze the data. Don't worry about duplicates, as Service Box automatically eliminates them. Additionally, all files undergo a thorough cleansing process before being integrated into Service Box. The required files from Jobber include:

  • Client Contact Info file: Contains data related to Customers such as Customer Name, Display Name, Address, Phone, email, etc.
  • Client Properties File: Provides data related to Jobsites linked to customers, including Customer name, linked jobsites, address, etc.
  • One-off jobs Report: Contains data related to historical Work Orders and their related data.

What if there are columns in Jobbers that are not available in Service Box?

Not a problem. We have the flexibility to create customized columns in Service Box according to our client's needs. For instance, if a client requires a "Previous WorkOrder #" column, we can create a custom column labeled "Historical WO#" and import data into that column. However, it's essential to mention all custom columns before initiating the data import process.

Important Note: It's essential for clients to specify all desired custom columns before initiating the data import process. This ensures seamless integration and accurate representation of data within Service Box

How does the data import process work?

  • We receive files from the client related to data import. These files can vary depending on the client's business requirements, previous software, accounting software, etc.
  • We send all the files to our database experts who analyze the data and its complexity.
  • Based on the analysis, our team calculates the time and effort required for the data import process and creates a quote.
  • The quote is sent to the client for approval. We address any queries the client may have in the quote or process.
  • Once approved by the client on the Service Box portal, the data import process commences.
