Enabling Advanced Filter Criteria:

To begin using the advanced filter and sorting options, users need to enable the feature within the settings of ServiceBox. By default, this option is unchecked, so users should navigate to the settings tab, select "Work Order," and ensure the "Advanced Criteria" checkbox is selected before saving the settings

  • Log in to your Service Box account.
  • Go to Settings
  • Click on Work Order tab
  • Click on List Settings
  • Ensure that the checkbox next to "Use Advanced Criteria" is checked
  • Click on Save button to apply the changes.

  • After enabling the advance criteria, return to the work Order List screen
  • You will now see the "Advance Criteria" link



Enabling Custom Fields:

ServiceBox allows users to use custom fields for sorting and filtering the work order list. However, certain field types such as email or phone number are not currently supported for this purpose. Custom fields that are single line, restricted date, checkbox, or multiline can be utilized for advanced filter criteria by enabling the "Use in Search" option.


Access the Work Order Custom Fields Screen:

  • Go to Settings
  • Click on Work Order Tab
  • Click on Custom fields
  • Click on Edit button besides the name of the field you would like to display

 

  • Click on the checkbox "Use in Search". 
  • In the above screen you will see that following custom fields are set to "Yes" for "Use In Search"
    • Title
    • Payment Term
    • Signup Date
    • Is Customer active
  • You will see that these search criteria are now available when you click on "Advance Criteria" link


Exploring Advanced Filter Criteria Options:


The advanced filter criteria provide users with a wide range of options to refine their work order list. The available filter options include Show Assigned To, Show Work Order date, Show City, Show Open Work Orders, Show Scheduled Users, Show Proximity, Show Next Scheduled, Show Created Date, Show Future Scheduled, Show Invoiced.

  • Check the desired filter options based on your requirements. 
  • Click on Save button 
  • By selecting the appropriate criteria and combining them, the user can obtain a Work Order list that meets these requirements.

Example Usage:

To illustrate the functionality of the advanced filter options, let's consider an example. 

In the above screen print you will see that following criteria are checked off. 

  • User Assigned To 
  • Show Work order date criteria are

All these criteria are now enabled and available to use for filtering Work Orders as shown below.


To filter Work Order list with 

  • Work Order assigned to a specific user
  • Work Order created date
  • Work Orders with payment term set to "Due in 30 Days", 

fill in this information and the Work Order list will be filters to match these criteria. 


By selecting the appropriate criteria and combining them, the user can obtain a list that meets these requirements. This example demonstrates the flexibility and power of the advanced filter and sorting feature
