When 'Service Reminders' are activated under the Feature tab within ServiceBox. When activated the system will send out service reminders to customers X number of months from the last closed work order. The customer or jobsite must be configured to receive service reminders and the last closed work order will be used as the start point of the count down to send the service reminder.

The system adds a few things to the system

Settings->Customer->Service Reminders

This tab sets the default settings and configures the email that will get sent out for the service reminder.

Customer Add/Edit

Two fields are added at the bottom of the screen:

If the flag is set, then the customer will get a reminder for all jobsites.

Job Site Add/Edit

The Job Site Add/Edit screen gets those two settings along with a read only field to indicate when the last service reminder was sent:

The 'Last Service Reminder' sent date is used by the system to make sure reminders are only sent out once.

The Reminder Process

The system will look for all job sites that have no open work orders.  Also, latest closed work order was closed no later than X months before the current date (X  being the number of months from last service) and was closed after the work order's 'Last Service Reminder Sent' date.

For each of these jobsites, an email will get sent out as was configured in the settings.
