This article will summarize the features of the To Do Tab in your ServiceBox settings. This tab allows you to customize all "To Dos" in your ServiceBox settings. 


What is a ServiceBox To Do?


To Dos help increase efficiency of your operations, ensuring specific tasks are assigned to the right person to be completed in a timely manner. A To Do is a task that can be categorized, detailed, and assigned to one of your employees within ServiceBox. The list of To Dos can be accessed by clicking "To Dos" on the left-hand side of your ServiceBox screen. This To Do list will keep you and your employees on track, making sure no tasks are overlooked. 


To Do Tab: Categories


Shown in the following screenshot, the "Categories" subsection allows you to define categories in order to group all of your To Dos in ServiceBox. These categories will open up on the left hand side under the To Do Section and will allow you to give each To Do a specific category under which they will be grouped, with a name and an associated colour. For example, you To Do categories can include tasks that involve writing up quotes, following up with a customer, ordering parts, picking up parts, etc. 



To Do Tab: Alerts


This subsection allows you the option to send alerts to your employees, depending on the status of a To Do. As shown in the screenshot below, you can send alerts to your ServiceBox users for To Dos that are unassigned, due, or have a changed due date. Simply click the edit button at the right side of the alert, input the email to which you would like to send the alert, and check the box under "alert user". ServiceBox will then send the alert associated with your To Dos. 


NOTE: As shown above, we suggest you start by only sending alerts to your employees for To Dos that are "Assigned" and "Due Now". This is because you do not want to bombard your employees with alerts for every type of To Do status, ensuring that your employees are only receiving alert for high-priority To Dos. 


To Do Tab: Receiving Alerts


Your users will receive both mobile and email alerts for To Dos, making sure these alerts are accessible on any device used by your technicians. For mobile users, they will see an Alerts page within the ServiceBox app. Your technicians will also receive alerts via their email.
