It also allows two-way synchronization of jobsite and customer info back into ServiceBox. In this article, we will learn how we can import the data from QuickBooks Online to ServiceBox.

This is really helpful if you are brand new customer with ServiceBox, because we can transfer all your customers and items  from your QuickBooks Online to Service Box by following few steps.

Step 1: Sign in to your Jobsite site ( xxx.jobboxsoft.com

Step 2: Navigate to your login name displayed on the top right corner>click on drop down menu and go to QuickBooks Online (If you can't see QuickBooks Online please contact us at support@jobboxsoft.com

Step3:  Click 'Import from QuickBooks Online'

Note- If you see this message on your screen, this means your settings are still incomplete, go through each tab and see if you have configured all your settings.

Step 4: Customers-

*Create Contact if Company Name Present- If checked off, system will create a contact within service box if that customer template has company name present in it.

*Ignore Jobsites: If checked off, system will ignore all the jobsites present under that customer in QuickBooks Online while importing that customer to service box.

*Attention Tokens in Address - If the client has set up "Attention to" or Attn: in QuickBooks as a way of addressing a specific department or person, we need to define what those are in the connector.

* Start and To - This will show you the number of customers present in your QuickBooks Online

* Click 'Import Customer' - This will compile a list of your customers. Click on 'Select All' and if there is any customer in here that you don't want them to be imported to Service box  you could deselect uncheck that customer from the selected list.

Click 'OK' and it will import everyone that has checkmarks into your service box. Once the import is complete, you could verify either by searching for that customer in the customer tab within service box or on this same page 'Has Been Imported' will change from 'NO' to 'YES'

Step 5: Click on Items tab: It will show total number of items present in your QuickBooks, Click on 'Import Items'

You should see the dialog.

 1. First select the items to import. If you want to select all click on 'Select all' button and it select all the items

2. Then select the category at the bottom, corresponding to the selected items.

3. Click the 'Set Selected to" button and it will auto fill Quote category ( It's okay if the Invoice category is blank here because Service box maintains one data base instead of two so system will pick data from quote category for invoice category)
4. The selected items should have a category selected in the second last column.
5. Click ok.

If you see couple of items that has no tax, please make sure to assign the correct tax level on that item because if ServiceBox see's a blank tax it assumes it's a non-taxable item.

The import goes on in the background and it may take a few minutes if there are a lot of items.
