Summary

Since ServiceBox is a product intended to help you manage all aspects of your business workflow, we wanted to provide an exceptional experience when it comes to receiving payments from customers. With ServiceBox Payments you'll be able to do the following things:

  • Merchant Account - You will now have a merchant account that will keep track of all of the payments that have been processed online through ServiceBox.
  • Portal Payments - You can place a "Pay invoice Now" button directly onto your e-invoices so customers can pay you immediately through an online portal. Alternatively you can generate a payment link and send the link through an email. Either option utilizes an online payment portal that dramatically speeds up the rate at which you receive payments for your work.
  • Onsite Invoice Payments - Your technicians can take payments directly at a job site by entering the credit card information using the payment button/link within the invoice.
  • Handpoint Devices - Now your company can show up to a job site and take a card transaction using a physical card-swiping device. Each of the transactions processed from this device will be added directly into ServiceBox as a payment.

Payment Processing

Obviously ServiceBox isn't a bank, so we've partnered with PaySafe Payments and have integrated their payment processor to enable credit card processing in our software. PaySafe is a registered Level 1 PCI Compliant processor. This means that your information and your customers' information is safe and secure.

For more information about PaySafe you can find it here.

Depending on the region or country of origin other third-party service providers (e.g. Paysafe) may also be utilized. All partners will fall into Level 1 PCI compliance and are thus certified.

Once you apply for a merchant account your account will be with one of our PaySafe partners so all of your credit card info is secure and your account is safe.

PCI Compliance

Here's some info on PCI level 1 compliance - A PCI level 1 merchant will be subject to a PCI DSS audit annually by an authorized PCI QSA auditor. They must also perform a PCI ASV scan every quarter by the Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) and send those scans to the appropriate authorities.

PCI level 1 is the strictest PCI DSS compliance level and is the only level that requires an on-site PCI DSS audit every year. For this reason becoming PCI compliant often takes longer for level 1 merchants.

Besides, merchants must report the results of their audits to the “acquiring banks” defined by the PCI SSC. It should be noted that acquiring banks are subject to payment brand rules and procedures regarding merchant compliance.

Handpoint Devices

An exciting new addition to our product offerings is the ability for you to use a physical payment device to take payments in the office or remotely. Your technicians can use a Handpoint device that they can connect through Bluetooth in their phone. Once the device is connected to your ServiceBox account all transactions processed through the device will be captured in your ServiceBox account.

Our hope is that by integrating these options directly into ServiceBox, we can continue to build our product into your single, all-in-one business solution.

Portal Payments

Once you've been approved for the Merchant account you'll be able to place a "Pay Now" button directly on the invoice so your customers can pay  online at first glance. No more paper checks, postal system, wait times, etc. This is an absolute game changer for ServiceBox users who are frustrated at how slowly they get paid.
