Summary

In ServiceBox job site refers to a specific location where a service or job is performed. It could be a customer's address, a project site, or any physical location where work is carried out.  Job site play a crucial role in organizing and managing service activities within ServiceBox.


This article will summarize the features of the Job Site Tab in your ServiceBox settings. This tab allows you to customize the contract status for a Job Site, defining the details of a specific contract, if applicable.


Job Site Tab: Contract

The Contract subsection allows the customization of a contract status for a Job Site. Here, you can define the details of an existing contract, or add a new contract, when necessary. The fields required to add a new contract are: 


  • Name: 
    • The name of the specific contract status, such as pending, closed, or cancelled (examples in the screenshot below).
  • Message color: 
    • You can assign colours to the contract status that appears. The available colours are blue (default), yellow (to indicate a warning), or red (to indicate an error).
  • Date Req.: 
    • If you select this box, the user of your ServiceBox must select an expiration date when saving the Job Site record for a contract.




Job Site Tab: Custom Fields

This subsection allows you to add additional fields into the Job Site entity.


A Custom Field requires a name and type.  In the "Name" section, simply input the name of the item you would like to add. In the "Type" Section, a drop down menu will allow you to choose the type of your custom field. 



As shown in the screenshot above, you can choose the following types in your custom field. 


  • Multi-Line Text: 
    • This includes a textbox that allows multiple lines of text.
  • Single Line Text:
    • This includes a textbox that allows a single line of text. 
  • Dropdown:
    • This allows you to enter in multiple items from which one item can be selected in a dropdown menu.
  • Multi-Select:
    • Similar to Dropdown, this allows multiple items to be selected.
  • Checkbox:
    • This will include a checkbox.
  • Date: 
    • This will display a textbox that includes a calendar, so the user can choose a date associated with a Job Site.
  • Restricted Dropdown:
    • Allows your ServiceBox administrators to define which options that your technicians can choose from within this drop down list. Technicians will only be able to choose from these restricted options.
  • Restricted Multi-Select:
    • Allows your ServiceBox administrators to define which options that your technicians can choose from within a multi-select list. Technicians will only be able to choose from these restricted options.


Settings: 

  • Restricted:
    • Check this box if the information gathered in your custom field is confidential and only to be viewed by your administrators.
  • Display on Work Order:
    • Checking this box will include the information gathered from the custom field on your Work Orders.
  • Print on Work Order:
    • Checking this box will include the information gathered from the custom field on your printed Work Orders.
